Found this while surfing the net and found it interesting. Probably old news to everyone but I'd never seen it.
I guess it's from some kind of interview with Tom Owen and he speaks about some of his costars and how they got along.
Guess he wasn't too fond of Kathy Staff.
I wonder what they thought of him?

Great article and a bit of an insight into the characters, surprisingly there no mention of Stephen Lewis whom he shared most of his screen time with , although there may have been a limit on the column inches for the article in the publication .

Peter Sallis had the role of a lifetime, off camera, and that was to be the peacemaker between Brian and Bill.

What he says about Thora Hird is similar to what Alan Bell said in his book - that Peter Sallis didn't really like to spend time with Thora as she always talked about her own history.
