Just for fun, when the pilot was screened in Jan 1973 pop music was taking off big time, so I have glued 10 of the tracks from the top 50 hits at the time the pilot was screened, some just a few seconds, your mission should you accept the challenge is to name the song and artist, giving you a possible total of 20 points, now for any answers I will just give you how many correct points you have, other than that have fun

I recognise MOST (not all) of them...but your chart songs varied a bit from what charted over here.
I can't put my finger on some of the ones I know though BUT.....

#4 - Crocodile Rock by Elton John
10 - Claire by Gilbert O'Sullivan

#1 is driving me bonkers...I know it well but the memory bank just won't open for the name!

One of them MAY be Hotel California by the Eagles?????

I will add that if all these are from 1973, none of the Foreigner answers will be correct (debut album, a personal favourite, 1977).
