an observation of Compo & Nora

Just recently, I watched the early Blamire episodes for what seems like the millionth time. It never gets old to me. Anyway, I noticed that, in those early episodes, Compo didn't refer to Nora on a first-name basis, but rather as "Mrs. Batty". At what point did this change?

In the pilot he refered to her as Mrs Batty and series one, but that changed in series two to call her Nora, my guess is with Wally coming in that series calling them both Mr and Mrs Batty wouldn't have sounded right so RC decided to call them by there first names
