I'm not a massive train fan but I know many on here are. I'd really recommend a trip on the SVR, I've never seen such an array of stunning vintage trains.

Thank you for posting those CC, isn't that lovely bearing in mind it's a charity in the main run by volunteers. I learned today they're facing an existential crisis after Covid. They're clearly all so dedicated and it's a real piece of living history, but they've got an urgent appeal as they need to raise £1.5m to be able to open in 2024.

Do it Moggy!, the highlight for me was going through West Mids safari park on steam train seeing the amazing animals. I'm pretty sure you don't see too many giraffes & rhinos whilst traveling on other heritage railways

We will. We have a few around our way. Haworth is a stones through. Bridgnorth is about 1/2 hour drive from Ironbridge. Ironbridge is also a must visit if you’re round this area. Blists Hill Victorian museum is the highlight of all the museums at the gorge.

Ironbridge is like Holmfirth, it's always raining.
It's also in a valley just like Holmfirth!
