Bad weather forecast

It is going to be a W & W day here today in South York's. That means wet and windy. I will be sat here, brolly at the ready, in case the wind blows the roof off. It is going to pour it down. How many adjectives can you think of to describe heavy rain? That is of course discounting the most obvious :35:.

There is of course nice weather for ducks , have heard a rather cruel, cat drowning weather, used but the best animal related I have seen is a Cow-quaker . Letty is West Country , sure Tony will confirm , Plothering is used up here in Toon but just spotted this one for Terry in Lincolnshire Raining forks’tiyunsdown’ards

I have just come off the Quay [Liverpool Docks] and the driving rain has been dripping off my beak since 6am this morning !!!.
We all have to wear hard hats, but my shnozzer is that big the plastic peak cannot protect it from the cruel Irish sea rain and wind.
It's a dirty job....but someone's got to do it !!!!.
x!

Some good descriptions of heavy rain ☔ but one word has not been mentioned, SILING. That is what we have here right now, the rain is siling it down. Two nights of gales and now a downpour. At least the wind has dropped which will keep the yachts away but the rain may cause an influx of submarines. I don't know if you believe in reincarnation or not but if that is the natural cause of events then I will come back as a duck. Eider a duck or a swan :fp: . If you had the choice what would you come back as?
