It is very very sad day because he was a stalwart of British Comedy not very often in front of the camera but think of a show and its probably got some element written by him . I am an avid I'm Sorry I Haven't a Clue fan and he has been a big miss though he did appear in the penultimate series and not surprised by the tribute from Count Arthur Ferret as Barry has been in his Radio show in one of the classic episodes . I am old enough to remember Jokers Wild which he chaired and again think of a comedian of yesteryear and they will have been on it . To think he started out at the long gone Windmill Theatre alongside Brucie it seems such an age ago . A very sad loss.
One of the best script writers ever. Such a funny guy. He saw a funny side in everything. Barry, heaven must be heaving with laughter. You did go up there didn't you?
