When Barry & Glenda's house is first used around series 18 it is clearly in the middle of a building site with construction going on around it. It strikes me as odd that they would choose to film on a construction site. I'm not sure whether they chose the house as when it was newly constructed it was likely to be empty or whether the house builders perhaps encouraged this location?
 
I seem to remember seeing/reading/hearing somewhere that when the production crew were searching for filming locations of specific types that they advertised through media (maybe the local paper or even word of mouth) and I would have thought that the (new) home owners of that house maybe answered the call so to speak.

my own personal thought only
 
If the snagging for the house had been done by Big Hammer Wesley they'd have had to film elsewhere and the construction company would have to rebuild from scratch.
