I ahve just noticd the bottom of the page, well to be truthful I have just explored it. I knew it was there all the time but never really looked that carefully.

Apart from various statistics and some puzzles about the 'time on on-line' which bears no apparent relationship to number of posts, and the ability to see all the latest posts chronolologically rather than going to each topic, I see it tells us who is on line.

What I find interesting is that regular users are often out-numbered by guests. Just now there were 3 or 4 of us and 12 guests! I have checkd several times over the last few days and always got the same sort of ratio. So a lot of people are reading what we have to say ....

Hmmm, you know Rod, I dont think they are guests, I think what happens is that after a 15 minute period of inactivity on the site, your status, whilst you are still logged in, goes from showing your username, to you being a guest.

There are often more guest than members online, this is due to several factors, search engines usually the main engines Google,Yahoo and Microsoft, plus genuine guest and if a member (Not signed in)or visitor has a look then that will also show as a guest

I don't login often.
Most of the time I watch the forum as guest...
Alas, I don't have much to say. ;)

Some guests ( AOL, Americe Online) are sitting behind a proxy server with many IP addresses.
Every IP address can be seen as a visitor...
