Clegg and Cousin Aubrey

I just finished watching "How to Remove a Cousin" which follows "Follow that Bottle" from Season 27. I believe those are the only two episodes with Clegg's cousin, Aubrey. I am just curious and I don't know if anyone were to really know this, but was it originally planned that Aubrey was only going to be in two episodes, or was the character considered unpopular to the point that they decided to cut his role short?

I really enjoyed the episode. The guys trying to free Clegg from his domineering cousin kind of reminded me of my favorite Seymour episode, "Set the People Free" when they were trying to free Howard from the graps of Pearl.
 
There are quite a few pairs of episodes, over the years, and I suspect that this was just oen of those. Clegg did have other cousins referred to occasionally, one was in Doncaster or somewhere such
