A question please for those who have closely studied the very first two series with Michael Bates, Did all three really ride on Cleggs Bicycle at the same time or was it : a) three doubles or b) the bike was stationary on a moving lorry or something ??
I have always wondered as I have enough trouble on my bike with just me on it !!
 
When you saw their faces it was actually them, but they could have been on a trailer at that time. When you saw the side view, it was probably the stuntmen that were on the bike. Can't recall if they showed a long shot (including wheels, feet, faces, full bodies etc.) of the three of them actually riding that bike.
