I posted some of these in the old forum that disappeared, but i thought i'd repost them here. A while back, i subscribed to the Daily Mirror archive for a short time and so was able to search through almost all the editions. These are the articles which came up for LotSW in the 1970's.

The first mention from August 18th 1973 is a piece about Michael Bates

The next is a preview of the series from Monday 5th November 1973. The Pilot was repeated that evening at 9:25, with the first new episode shown the week later on the 12th

Here's a small note in the book section "paperback parade" about the publication of the LotSW novel (the one later adapted into the film "Getting Sam Home"). this article is from 4th October 1974.

Small preview of "Flower Power Cut" from 30th November 1977...the reviewer found the first half of Series 4 a bit lacking in laughs it seems

And here's an interesting one (the last i have) from July 3rd 1980, in which Bill Owen tells the readers that the series has ended. There was a repeat of "Full Steam Ahead" showing that night. In fact it would return, but not for another 18 months.
