Well, the thread title is misleading, it just rolled out of my fingers.
I moved into my new (current) home at the beginning of January, and one of the very first things I did was to order Broadband Fibre (BT).
When I had ordered it while still living on the farm it took them eight months to complete the order, and it was looking as if it was going the same way here. Everybody I spoke to at BT tried to pass the buck, saying things like "I've elevated this for you" (three times, must be stratospheric now) and "the engineers will telephone you with an update in 5 working days" (six times, though I'm still waiting for the first call from the engineers), and "we're waiting for planning permission" (three times, and permission for what exactly, from the fibre terminal which is inches from my front door, they need to bury a piece of trunking less that a foot long!!).
Anyways to make a long story longer..... A gentleman from OpenReach turned up on my doorstep this morning telling me that they now had permission, and that because they had a spare crew idle they were bypassing BT as they would want to arrange an appointment weeks down the road.
Initiative, I like it. :01::01::01:
Work has begun.

"Fibre Tony" Sounds like an healthy version of Frosties.
"I've elevated this for you" (three times, must be stratospheric now)" :roflmao::roflmao::roflmao:
Good luck Tony, I wish you well in your endeavours with the super reliable BT :02:
