I like to watch old British shows every Tuesday. Last night I watched the next "Avengers" episode in line and it was one called "The Fear Merchants". Surprise!! It had a young baby faced Foggy in it as one of the off-beat bad guys. Actually he didn't mean to be a bad guy he hired a company to make him #1 in his business, little did he know they'd do that by driving all his competitors nuts. The funny thing is, Brian Wilde acted just like his Foggy character (minus a mustache though). He was boastful and proud and when it came to show off his proud product it was a wreck. He acted like Foggy, slightly laughing and putting it off, pretending it didn't really happen, saying well just an experimental model. Foggy had dark hair but sounded just like himself, he must have been about 43 or 44 when he did this show. It was great.
Also, related to this, about 2 years ago when I was watching the "Man In A Suitcase" series, who should pop up in an episode as a serious well dressed rich businessman? Compo! Compo with dark hair and no jokes and all dressed up. What a different part from what I'm used to seeing him in. I've also spotted Peter Sallis in these type shows too, like Secret Agent Man (Danger Man) he was in a 1962 broadcast of that. I've seen him in other similar shows too once in a while..
Always fun to see the trio popping into shows you wouldn't expect them to be in.
