How many episodes can you name that we see a football in it, I will start the ball rolling with Das (Welly) Boot
 
There is one I cannot put a name to, Compo dressed in a Huddersfield Town shirt and shorts a couple of sizes too big is having a kick a bout on the lane and boots the ball into the river .:39:

I think the episode The only Diesel saxophone in Captivity had one, at the very start of the episode Compo is kicking a ball about outside his house
 
I remember an episode where Foggy gets Compo and Clegg to kick a ball around on a hillside for exercise. When Compo goes to kick the ball to Foggy his wellie goes flying and whacks poor Foggy. Can't name the episode at the moment or if it is one already mentioned.

Also doesn't one of the early episodes show some young ones kicking a ball around on a hillside as part of the intro to the episode? It gets away from them and they all chase it down the hill. A dog was with them too I think.
 
I know I am "going off track " but how many threads do you get that have Footballs in the theme . I just wanted to mention one of my favourite Porridge episodes ever where Godber is studying for an exam and Fletcher , Bunny and McLaren use Football, Tennis and Ping Pong balls to represent the planets. As they go to steal the papers they are walking down the landing steps when Mackay utters the immortal line " What have you got there Fletcher ? " I'm sure you now the retort without me printing it. :)

I have re watched DIESEL SAXOPHONE and it is the one I couldn't think of. Once again Gill you pointed me in the right direction. :x3:
 
Spot on there maltrab. That is one of the episodes I was thinking of - Short Back and Palais Glide. Thanks.
