Sad to hear of the death of Geoffrey Hughes. He was Onslow in Roy Clarkes Keeping Up Appearances, but was also well known for his regular roles on Coronation Street, Heartbeat and The Royle Family

They seems to be dropping like flies at the moment,in the last few months there has been some great losses

Isn't that sad? I think he also provided the voice for Paul McCartneys character in the Yellow Submarine film all those years ago. Yeah, I know what you mean, Eli. I check the news every morning before work to be sure all is well with our heros.

Yes, so sad - I liked him as Onslow. I especially liked the episode where they are on the QE2 and he dances with Hyacinth!

RIP Geoffrey Hughes. A brilliant actor, my thoughts are with his relatives and friends.

Thats right "MR SCRIPPS" (not sure of his first name, I forget whether he's Vernon or the funeral director is Vernon :-[ )

I am as well sorry to hear about Geoffrey Hughes passing. I previously used his name in a topic of actors the would be good for a Summer Wine comeback.

KUA is big in the states and I remember him, not acting as Onslow but just being himself, in a Public Television pledge drive. He seemed like a pretty decent guy.

May he rest in peace.

Heard about Geoffrey's passing earlier today. As a matter of fact, Keeping Up Appearances is on the TV right now as I type this. A great comedic actor for sure. Nobody could play Onslow like he did. Rest in peace Geoffrey, and thanks for all the laughter.

His cancer must have been a long agonizing one. I remember he quit the business to go back to his home to die there. That was quite some time ago, way over a year I think. Very sad as I sort of feel we are alike. I love dressing comfortable. LOL
