I am sad to report that the great Mose Allison has recently passed away at the ripe old age of 89 . I do hope some people on the forum have had the pleasure of listening his recordings and enjoyed his laconic style, which set him apart from all other artists .
The people who cite him as an influence is a who's who of music Van Morrison , Pete Townshend , the Rolling Stones , Jimmy Page and Robert Plant to name a few . If you have never heard any of his music and you want to listen something unique and so relaxing please give it some air time . A sad loss but the deepest regard to Mose Allison for the great music he wrote and performed.
