I just love Joe Gladwin's accent and delivery , not only in LOTSW but also Nearest and Dearest. He doesn't have to say anything funny , he makes me smile when he just talks .

I think it may be from Here We Go Again into the Wild Blue Yonder.

Probably their first glance of Compo dressed as a birdman.

John Comer and Joe Gladwin were brilliant in LOTSW. So natural and believable.

I suspect they were similar in real life to their characters in many ways.

Same goes for Gordon Wharmby. I believe he was as down to earth as the character he played.

Shame all three never had any scenes together - though they did all appear in Car and Garter.

Yes it is from "Here We Go Again into the Wild Blue Yonder. It was when Foggy said "A Dewhurst knot is an unshakable knot." He then flicks the rope he has just finished tying and it falls off Compo.
