I always liked Mr.Gridley's rare appearances [even if he was a bully !!!]...I thought Roy could have used him more.
The best part with the above is when Foggy say's they called him "the ice man"...to which our traffic warden says ..."SELLING ICED CREAM WHERE YOU........MR.SOFTY !!!!!"....[especially the way he pronounces "SOFTY".]
He was great stopping traffic to let Marina cross the road and I thought is facial expressions and his mannerisms were brilliant.....even driver Edie's car......a really good character in my humble opinion.,,,,,AND.....I CAN'T SPELL "CHEKOSLOVOKIA" EITHER !!!!!
