Have you ever been in a real life Summerwine situation such as being blown off a roof or getting stuck in a tree trying to settle a bet etc etc . There are many situations that could have happened to any of our members . Or sneaked around on a bicycle. Or maybe you've had a barbecue set alight or got dressed up in funny clothes. Like many characters, Smiler on Auntie's wine, in my youth I was a bit elephant's trunk a few times. On the worst occasion I staggered onto the bus home , dosed off in a seat hidden from the driver only to be woken up sharply by him shaking me saying I have to get off as the bus is now in the depot [found me on his final inspection before handing the bus back] .

I was actually further away from home than when I got on the bus and had to shell out for a taxi whose driver was a bit reticent to take me but agreed in the end .
