Truly horrific accident. Helicopter with two engines, great ability to glide, very strange. Lord rest all the poor victims of this awful event.

Just read in the paper, they "grounded" the same type 'copter last year for cracks in the rotor blades. Makes you wonder? ???

True Dick. I would guess either catastrophic rotor failure or maybe a pilot heart attack. I'm sure they will discover the cause in time. How unlucky for all concerned that it came down on the flat roof of a pub on a busy Friday night.

yes dreadful..but an eyewitness said he heard the helicopter spluttering so doesn't sound like a rotor problem.
