House Update #20

I thought I would bring you up to date with what is happening at my daughters house. A lot of internal tidying up has been done, a few new internal doors fitted, the Gas man called and fitted some home automation kit so they can control the boiler and heating from wherever they are via their smartphones.

Over the last few weeks a lot of work has been done in the garden to prepare for a garage to be erected at the end of this month, this entailed moving a lot of earth, laying a concrete base, reinforcing the walls that hold back the banking, digging trenches for mains cables and drainage.

Once the garage is there, it has to be insulated, the electrics installed, then they can move a lot of stuff that has been in expensive storage for the last 6 months.

Then before the winter sets in the small conservative which is badly fitted in UPVC and leaks will be replaced with a timber built frame, double glazing, a tiled roof and a new door, so they will be all set for a snug winter, I will post some pictures as work progresses.

OK OK what are those vertical things in the second shot silhouetted against the red? Either my eyes are dimming or my brain ...

That is equipment used by the water company, it has a strange arm that crosses the river every hour, maybe to pick up any clutter build up that floats downstream, the cottage used to be owned by the water company and one of their workers lived there until they retired, and the buildings at the rear are all water company

Thanks - look slightly surreal against the red ....

Beautiful colours again tonight and you've got 'big skies' as it'so flat. We are surrounded by mountains so 'smaller skies' - but lovely though!

Your typo had me worried for a moment . I confused organsie with organza which is material used in dresses I think.;):roflmao:
whoops - must really get spell check on this.

Think I need to re-install Office as the chap who did it used a version which was not full and I do have the full version.
