I discovered this gem very late....
I think the dialogue is absolutely top notch....."our Sid" and Compo's [very brief[ girlfriend are absolutely perfectly cast.
I think it is even more "northern" than our beloved show.
I really think it seems to be specifically aimed at a northern audience....I don't think it would appeal to many people "darn saaaaaaarf".....especially "that London" as us Scousers used to call it !!!.
Well worth a watch in my "very northern" humble opinion !!!!.
