Is bad at the moment , and the lockdown continues , with no new sports, soaps, cooking, house exchanges, antiques ,quiz shows that is normally pumped out on a daily basis ,then the volume of repeats and old movies to fill these gaps will be mind numbing.

To be frank some of the old movies would be a welcome change[BBC has four classic Ealing comedies on during the week] but there is so much entertainment online now you don't always need to turn to TV . I prefer to move between mediums I have lots of books I have purchased which I have still to read, I like the radio because there are a variety of shows on there great historic comedies and the plays are really good and then there is the internet . BBC entertainment guy has posted some links today for things coming up over the weekend .

Aside from Andrew LLoyd Webber showing Jesus Christ Superstar on his You tube channel , there is a link to a film called 40 days to learn film which is a history of film across the decades [link below] . There is a documentary on BBC4 on Monday called the Great Mountain Sheep Gather , set in the Lake District the scenery is spectacular . He also mentions digging out an album his dad gave him when he was younger which will be familiar to some of our US members "The Button down memory of Bob Newhart " I recall seeing his show is the UK years ago . If you don't want to listen to the album or indeed are thinking about buying it there is a show by Paul Gambaccini on BBC Sounds app which is all about the album and may help you decide.
Here is the link to it https://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b00zh1d6

I sympathise. Over the Easter weekend, there are who-knows-how-many Carry On films on ITV3. Fine if you are a Carry On fan, unlike me of course.

As I mentioned before I managed to get the entire series of The Professionals , making my way through series 1 and it is great fun, continuity is terrible, Bodie and Doyle drive off in one car and arrive in another , plus CI5 must have more cars than Avis

I used to have an LP of Bob Newhart called The Button Down Mind Strikes Back .I really enjoyed it at the time. Must see if I can dig it out again.:08:

If you can't find it Dick the link I included in my post is 30 minute documentary on radio about that very album
