This Saturday the great meet up with other fans of the show, starting at 10am at the rear of the Postcard Inn, It seems Crusher will be there and many prizes available in a raffle

Sounds like a nice time, maltrab. Wow, I just realised (via Google) that he played Chunky Livesey in the second series of First of the Summer Wine. Gonna have to re-watch those.

I liked the Crusher character. Sadly, his character did not get fleshed out very well before he left the show.
I can see Crusher, Tom and Smiler helping Auntie Wainwright with odd jobs. Could have been some good story plots with that trio. Felt Ivy a bit too harsh on him at times. I don't really see Crusher and Barry hanging out too often as friends. Crusher seemed a bit enthusiastic to have joined the force and been grouped with Cooper and Walsh. Possibly could see Crusher becoming one of Billy's Merry Men and helping on some adventures with Alvin and Entwhistle.

Seems my wishful thinking and daydreaming misplaced how early Crusher was in the timeline of things. Way before the other characters I mentioned above appeared.

I thought that too, Chuck. When I first posted I kinda took wiki at face value when they said he replaced the first Chunky. Ya mean we can't trust everything we read on the internet :30::13:??? As I search some more it seems that tv.com also has Jonathan Linsley listed as cast for Chunky. Maybe I can watch some this weekend to verify with my own eyeballs.

Oh, I LIKE that!! Yes, definitely he'd have been the first one to be away, trying to sneak out of the Cafe with his bow!!!

He definitely WAS the 2nd Chunky, in the second series episode where Compo brings the big coat to work.
You see him waiting for Compo outside the Cinema as they all leave, but they get past in disguise...I won't spoil it by saying exactly HOW they get
past in case some people haven't seen it.
