An EASYJET passenger heard the request and because he was a doctor immediately responded. An elderly lady had taken ill on her way back home to Greece. He managed to check her out and calmed her down so she was comfortable. He did not think they needed to divert so they landed in Greece as scheduled. If the jet had diverted it would have cost EasyJet thousands of pounds .
The doctors reward for his efforts...............A free cuppa and he had to pay for his own KIT-KAT!

There was an outcry and EASYJET have now offered him free flights on top of the free luggage pass (£20) they initially offered. The old lady recovered well enough to go back home.

After all the money the doctor saved the airline, they shouldn't have had to be prodded by a public outcry to do right by the doctor. Do you think they might behave better in future?

Parking the argument about rewards and the hippocratic oath, this Doctor demonstrated what is so great about our Health Service but for his diligence that lady could have has far more serious issues . This guy is on a well earned break from a stressful job but still came to the aid of this lady , its a cliche but he deserves a medal as big as a dustbin lid!
