Anyone wanting to buy sun cream Which Magazine just tested lots of brands and Aldi's Lacura Suncare Moisturising Sun spray Factor 30 at £2.79 a bottle passed their tests with flying colours and was awarded a Best Buy

Terry, I did not know that you Brits had AC!! Quelle Surprise.

These type of properties get very warm inside when the sun beats down, lots of glass etc, it can reach 115F inside without AC, not nice in the summer months, but great with the winter sun

I always get freaked out by the weatherman when he does his report. No matter how great the weather is, he always has to say something awful about it and I usually believe him and hunker down. Hot weather can be tolerated with lots of cold drinks, taking things slowly and if you do not have AC, arranging curtains, blinds, fans, and bowls of ice so as to cool the house. And it is also possible, but not usually done, to construct a house in such a fashion to cool it without the use of AC.

It seems in the UK and probably everywhere now, that we don't get chance to ease into the hotter days, they seem to pop up for 2 or 3 days with extreme heat, then it cools down again, I am pretty sure we used to have seasons in the 60/70's when in spring it would warm up gradually, so by summer it did not seem to impact folk so much, or maybe being younger the body could tolerate the heat

Hi all. How has everyone got on with the heat today? hope you were drinking plenty of water. At work I saw several people with very bad sunburn, take care if the heat last's

Gill we stayed out of it for the last 2 days and sat in a cooled room, but thanks for asking

Amazing the difference in perceptions between continents. In summer here in OZ a 32C day is considered a COOL change! LOL
Then again we are in winter at present and people are complaining about the COLD weather when it get down to 4C at night, with maximums
around 18-20C. I suppose it depends on where you were brought up!

I agree, a few year back we went to Arizona at Christmas, the temp at night was around 20c,we were in T-Shirts and Shorts, the locals thought we were crazy they were wearing very thick coats and had the heating on in their home and cars

Just back from Warwickshire nice to see some people deal with an exceedingly sunny day in a traditional manner . There were two old Gentlemen sat on a bench in Warwick Castle, thankfully in the shade, but with knotted hankies on their heads so they had some protection for their heads when they had to walk in the Sun .

That tends to be my recollection too.
