I went to a lecture on Jack the Riper last night it was really fascinating in that everything we know about him or her ( yes that was brought up too ) is wrong. It's said that there were 5 victims but infact there could well have been 11 of which some survived. With all the myths and legends about the case it's pretty certain we'll never know who the killer was.

There's a Jack the Ripper museum in London
 
Out of curiosity I did a search to see if Jack the Ripper (1888) and Dr. Crippen (moved to London 1897) were active during the same time frame. Came across this site that seems to have a lot of info on Jack the Ripper - https://casebook.org/ . Have you seen it before, @Pearl ? You may already know all it has to offer. Posting on the off chance it may have something new to you.
 
Thank you Ric, Chippen would have been in his early 20s when the Ripper murders began but didn't move to London until about 10 years after the murders. That site looks interesting I'll take a look.
