Just Found Throstlenest Farm

I just had a look on the real estate site Right Move and was looking at Lancashire and put in a minimum value of GBP 3 million and what came up first was a listing for Reggie's place near Winmarleigh. No wonder the boys used Wesley's Land Rover to get there because it is a bit of a distance from Holmfirth. Compo must have been pretty fit to ride all that way every Thursday.

The fist part of the filming for the farm is at the top of Moss Edge Road, which is where the land rover drove up to the farm, the filming for the yard scenes where elsewhere

Are you able to share the link Adrian?

Throstle Nest is it's real name then? It hadn't been given a fictitious name for the show.
There's another one south of Skipton. It's a B&B @ https://www.throstlenestfarmbandb.co.uk/. That's probably a popular name, given that it's the old fashioned name for the song thrush.

I always wondered how Reggie ever made time to take Thursday off each week to spend it entertaining Compo. And how did she ever have time to do something entirely decorative like planting up flower pots, as she was doing when our trio arrived with Compo's ferrets. Even with the best equipment, operating a farm single-handed requires ~ a 14-hour work day at least 6 days a week with an additional ~8 hours on the "day of rest".

(Can you tell that I grew up on a family farm worked solely by my father, as he had no sons?)
