Single-disc release with 4 special episodes coming this October
The BBC and distributor Warner Home Video have announced that their next DVD release in the long-running Britcom will be Last of the Summer Wine - Christmas Specials 1978-1982, a single-disc release that will be available on October 13th (just in time to gear up for the holiday season). Cost is $24.98 for 126 minutes. Although the studio announcement doesn't list it, a check of TV.com's online episode guide shows that the Christmas specials during the indicated years consisted of 1978's "Small Tune On A Penny Wassail", 1979's "And A Dewhurst Up A Fir Tree", 1981's "Whoops" and 1982's "All Mod Conned". Video on this DVD will be presented in full screen, with audio in English mono and English subtitles as well. Stay tuned for cover art!
