Last of the Summer Wine: Vintage 1985 with 1983/1984 Specials - US DVD..

This is somewhat good news to hear. At least they're not waiting a year to release it like the others. For us in the US, TVShowsOnDVD.com announced that Last of the Summer Wine: Vintage 1985 along with the 1983 and 1984 Christmas Specials will be out on DVD on September 7th.

That's Series 8. We've got 7 more to catch up with the UK as far as DVDs go.

Just got my copy today. Looks like all of Series 8 is on this. It includes the Christmas Special "The Loxley Lozenge from 1984. It also includes "Getting Sam Home". Until reading my own post here, I guess they are referring "Getting Sam Home" as a 1983 Christmas Special. One thing I was concerned about this series release was the talk about the edited episodes. I don't know which ones people are referring to in the UK release, but I was actually expecting an episode or two to be missing. I even forgot that "The Woolen Mills of Your Mind" was a Series 8 episode.
