I really liked her - think she did Compo's thursday girl so well... loved the tractor!!!!
And another success from Carry On days.. they are alll on here at moment in a marathon.. some are brilliant... others are very very poor!!!
Interesting - what a party this would be !!!!!!!!!!!
"She was due to take part in a Carry On-themed cruise in the Mediterranean at the end of this month to mark the 60th anniversary of the series. "
Have to ask Captain (just noticed)What was so infamous about Hancocks Half Hour?? It produced some gems . The Radio Ham, The Blood Donor to name but a couple.!Oh no!! One of the pinup girls from the Carry on Film era has so sadly passed away . Liz had such a varied career and appeared in many iconic British Comedy Films such as the Bulldog Breed with Sir Norman Wisdom , the Rebel with Tony Hancock [and also the infamous Hancock's Half Hour]and Pikey's Mum in the Dad's Army first Movie . Some of the films were a bit risque and probably best forgotten but her versatility as a comedy actress was there to be seen by all , making her one of the shining lights of the British Comedic Actress fraternity. A very sad loss.
agree very much!!!!She could have made a nice returning character occasionally as the series played on.
