More sad news,Liz who played Compo's girlfriend in Spring Fever has died aged 95

I was a great fan of Liz Smith, wonderful supporting actress. I can recommend her book "Our Betty" about her memoirs growing up and how she got into her acting career. So sad to hear of her passing. RIP.

Extremely sad news another great stalwart of the English stage and screen has passed away . When you view her IMDB career it is a very very long list of dramatic and comedic roles . One of my favourite roles was Letitia Cropley in the Vicar of Dibley who will always be remembered for her culinary inventiveness , Anchovy and Peanut Butter sandwich anyone !

I liked her in Vicar of Dibley as well. Knew she looked familiar in Spring Fever but did not make the connection on who she was.

I forgot about her being in Lark Rise, Amos. She played a good character in there too.

I also thought Julia Sawalha from Ab Fab did really well in Lark Rise.
