Louis on TV

Unless something acrimonious occurred and so he blocked the show from his memory deliberately , hopefully not and equally let's hope he hasn't gone down the James Bolam and The Likely Lads route who said its just a job and moved on with little or no reference to his time on the show.

Have to say I think it's short changing the fans ignore the biggest productions you're remembered for. Sadly there are some real prima donna 'stars' out there. They're no doubt happy to dine out on the back of these appearances when they want to do Panto or get other acting work. Although nowhere near as bad, Peter Sallis only devoted less than 10% of his autobiography to his time in LOTSW when probably many readers only remember him for that and it probably represented the vast majority of his success.

Is Rodney Bewes more open to discuss his time in TLL, CC?

Rodney Bewes loved his time in the show wanted a remake but Bolam said no . He and Bolam fell out big style and Bewes felt angry and let down by the way Bolam behaved . There are various stories online seems all rather unpleasant, Bolam doesn't come out of it well especially as he blocked the showing of repeats for some time, which impacted on Bewes income at a time when he struggled to get roles . Whilst Bolam prospered in acting terms Bewes was stuck in the doldrums. He was really typecast as Bob and so in essence all he had was to work a lot in theatre . If you look at his IMDB profile compared to Bolam's its chalk and cheese .

Louis is married to my wife's mate !!!!!.....[who is a lovely person]
Met him a few times...
In his Brookside days.......a little "above himself"......to say the least....especially around Liverpool pubs/clubs.
In the more recent years.....a little "deluded" regarding his "career"........BUT.....he was part of our show so,and worked with the wonderful Ken Kitson...so I am very very jealous !!!.
X!

@MoodyBlue he needs to remember he's just what they call a 'character actor' and certainly isn't an A lister like many of the people he acted with in LOTSW. On the subject of lovey Liverpudlians (other than you of course Keith!) I was sat behind Ricky Tomlinson on a plane and saw how he interacted with his fans when he was clearly tired from his flight and just wanted to get home. A true example of how a star should conduct themselves with fans and he could certainly be described as an A-Lister!

Absolutely right Barry !!!...a "true Scouser" who has never forgotten his roots....and has the same "working class morals" as he has always had.....a good Scouse Socialist who stands up for his beliefs and stands up for others less fortunate than himself.......a very good man.

Really enjoyed the tv programme Ricky did recently with Ralf Little touring the north,it was called Ricky and Ralfs very northern road trip and you could see throughout the series how he immediately engaged with anyone who approached him,he was really friendly and kind to everyone.
