John's life is a litany of life threatening accidents. His terrifying workplace upsets include a near collision with a large bucket of stone dropped by a colleague in a tunnel they were digging. Over the course of his career ,ladders collapsed under him while working on a roof and he fell through an open inspection hatch. He's broken ribs, damaged his back and limbs but has escaped with his life each time.
Over the years he 's found little safety in his leisure time either. He was once hit by a double decker bus while out shopping and struck an electric cable while doing D I Y .
His bad luck followed him on holiday, one year his cab driver in Greece fell asleep at the wheel on his way back to the airport .The following year his plane was hit by lightening soon after take-off.!
Is John unlucky or very fortunate with nine lives??
