Just watched a REALLY OLD Ronnie Barker (Hark
at Barker, vintage 1969) and there, as his assistant
Bates, is Josephine Tewson (Miss Davenport).

Only caught on watching her mouth and listening
to her voice. She looked nothing like Miss Davenport.

But she sure sounded like her.

Of course, we can't forget all of the times she dropped her coffee cup, dropped something in the coffee, groveled, etc., etc. as Elizabeth on Keeping up appearances.
