If you had to invite a Celebrity for a pre Christmas dinner who would it be? I would like to have one that is a bit talkative as i would be a bit shy at first and need someone to break the ice. It would have to be a comedy person as i love a good laugh. But there are so many to think of. Can you imagine Compo at your dinner table????

I'd say Compo. Would be fun to see him make sexual noises and chase my sister around the house.

You mean sexual noises with food on his mouth? Well he would have to chase your Sis around the house to work up an appetitte.

No, he does it with Ivy? Like he 'groar' and she panics and then shuts the kitchen door, then he chuckles.

We never actually saw Compo cook/eat a meal or indicate what kind of food he likes. I think that Compo is the type to eat an all day breakfast.

Steven Fry..... Without a bout.

I would also like to have a sit down with the man that designed new students accommodation in the city and ask him what he was thinking ? Was on something? Did his pencil have a mind of its own and how long has he been blind?

Without a "bout"? Does that mean you want a scrap with him?

Your comment on your student accomodation man made me think of "designer" of a roundabout here in Dunfermline. I call it the "Magic Roundabout" as I am convinced it was conceived under the influence of psychedelic drugs.

Someone answered "Roy Clarke" to the A-Z game thread and I thought they were on this one. But that is my answer though if I could have two choices I would also have Peter Sallis, as Clegg Roy Clarke's alter ego.

That made me laugh, from now on I'm calling the student housing Dillon's house :D

I'd LOVE to have Mr Sallis round for drinks but I'd be so nervous I wouldn't be able to speak! I think maybe Stephen Fry as you say, Susan. Or who is that short lady with him in Q.I? Sandy Toksvig. She's very funny.

i would say Roy Clarke, Alan J W Bell, Peter Sallis would be definates from summer wine land round the table i would also invite Russ Abbot, Brian Murphy and Burt Kwouk cause when i met them briefly a few years ago they were very pleasant, i would also invite Peter Davison, David Tennant and Matt Smith cause they are my favourite doctors, i would also invite Alan Shearer (absolute legend) and Nobby Solano (another favourite player of mine) and Hatem Ben Arfa and Demba Ba for the Newcastle (my team) link round the table.

Yeah. He was a bit great, wasn't he? Have you ever been to the Beatles weekend in Liverpool, Amos? I go up every second year. It's a feast of 60's music. All live groups and heavy emphasis on Beatles. Such a great weekend, it's a delight.

No but i would love to,Somewhere i have been though is his memorial in Central park in New York City in Strawberry Fields just across the street from the Dakota building where he was Murdered. When i stood outside the Dakota and thought what happened on Dec 8 1980 it made me go cold.

Yeah, it was a sad day. If you ever get the chance to do the Beatles weekend let me know. I'm usually there at some point. It's always on August bank holiday.
