I remember when I had my first computer I would frequently delve into it's depths. One time the power area of the motherboard cracked (yes, an actual crack across the board) I got my soldering station out and fixed it, the tracks on the board were big enough to fix!

One thing that stands out though is the memory. I used to stare in wonder at the memory stick, and marvel that it could hold a whole 512 Kilobytes of memory..... WOW.
I now have a memory card for the camera, no bigger than my thumbnail that can hold 128 Gigabytes of data... Holy cr*p
Put into perspective that would take 250000 of the old sticks (if my sums are correct).

OK, I'm still in the dark ages but I have a flip phone that does not have a camera, internet, or anything remotely smart. I can remember watching Don Adams talking on his shoe. We all thought that was VERY FUNNY.

My first mobile phone was actually just a phone!
Mine was two tin cans and an extensive length of string , it could be classed mobile because if the person you were calling and yourself ran in tandem you could use it at any place you reach without running out of breath [or some wag cutting your string]
