Called into the Lincoln store today, spotted some frying pans on sale, ours were getting past their best, picked two up took them to checkout who then tried to charge us full price,we then has to take someone from Customer Services to show them the sale offer, we then got the 50% off offered

I once did that with some water filters, I finally got the sale price. Makes you wonder if there ought to be someone checking that the new (temporary) prices reach the checkouts. Or are they hoping people will just pay the bill without looking.:39::me:

They're supposed to scan the sale prices into the tills but I think some get missed.

My local Asda can be swine's at times for that. Leaving the old prices on the shelves is another bone of contention! :unhappy:

One hopes the till assistant wasn't on their final warning , perish the thought if the Store Manager was informed about the issue and had to sack the person , if so would it be a case of out of the Frying Pan and into the Fire! The till assistant must have been left with Egg on their face albeit Fried!

We do our weekly shop at Asda. We have a new Sainsbury's opening in Cheddar in the New Year. Not keen on them, I found Lidl to be very good.

Morrison's are terrible for this sort of thing too. I took my mum shopping the other day and there were 4 things priced wrong. After we complained the rude branch manager of the Tunbridge Wells branch said prove it. We were right. The prices were out of date and had not been updated

We have a new Lidl just opened and I love the sweet and sour sauce, I've been going in just to buy a basket load of it and have to say that we tried their loin pork and it was really nice.

I went to get som more Jelly Babies for my wife (the care staff tell me she likes them when she goes to bed) and I thought had missed the special offer of £1 at ASDA. Although £1.50 did not look too bad, pleased that despite being priced on shelves at £1.50 went through as £1 and that was self service till! So occasionally it works out better.
