New dog.

Last Friday, we lost our dog. He was very old and we had to call the vet. We decided not to have any more dogs because the end is too heartbreaking. However, the house was so empty without Benny that we started looking through the rehome centres. We wanted a small dog, not too young and not too old. We wanted something like the little fella in Midsomer Murders, Sykes. We found one Tuesday morning, a little 8-year-old Jack Russel terrier. He is an absolute sweetheart and has brought life back into our home. His name is jack.

He looks adorable.
So sorry to hear about the loss of your dog, my cat had to be put down last year so I know what it is like.

His name is Jack and he lives in the back of the Greta Garbo home for wayward boys and girls!!!:fp:

Knowing that the age average on here is.... shall we say...skewed to the right? I expect most to get the reference!:D

I was just singing that song a few minutes ago whilst playing ball with Jack' I say singing with tongue in cheek, my voice is flatter than an out of date pancake on Xmas eve. Can four baldheaded men form a 'Barber Shop Four'.:37::37::37::37:

Please tell us more about Pickles and more pics would be a delight to see.
Shes' s a broken haired Jack Russell, nearly 12 years old now. Totally chilled compared to the other little bugger Pepper we've got who came from a working farm. She's 9 and just starting to calm down! They are great little dogs, full of character and i'm sure Jack will bring you

I'm glad you rescued that Russel terrier and given him another chance at a loving family. I am sure he greatly appreciates it.

Great photos 'ferret'. I particularly like the picture of them rolling on their backs. I can just imagine Pickles shouting, 'Hey Pepper,
I bet that I can pee higher than you while laying on our backs'..... :fp:

A delivery man has just called with a load of squeaky toys. They are farmyard animals and make different sounds when squeezed. Jack is running around the floor squeezing them all and we are in hysterics just watching and listening.:D:21::32::35::36::D:D. Does anybody want to buy a telly?

My favourite pub has a Regular who brings his JR with a yellow tennis ball as a toy, its always pestering him to throw it . The dog is persistent I was there for an afternoon watching a band and it continued this fetch and throw routine all of that time must have been four hours at least . He did manage the odd break because the dog is so cute lots of ladies were patting him so the dog proffered the ball for them to throw and so the owner was able to get a cheeky pint or two in the break from the routine . :)
