New Skills.

Although we don't want the forum to become depressing place but somewhere fun for members to run to and get away from the stress out there at the moment I was wondering if anyone has learned any new skills in the last few weeks?
Also, my daughters workmates set up a WhatsApp group to compare worthless jobs, what job have you done that you never did before and probably won't do again but just wanted to keep busy ?

My new skill it seems is ninja shop! I plan the route round Tesco, make a detailed list and run like crazy to get in and out as fast as possible.

My most worthless job so far is cleaning the grout between the slabs on the driveway.

By the the way the winner of my daughters group of worthless jobs was a woman who tidied her rubbish!

Mi Loro bebe leche pero no bebe agua :) I have been on Duolingo app learning Spanish for some time but I eased off a while back but have gone back and picked it up again . I was heading off to Spain a few times a year but that has been binned for now [ have a Holiday booked in Alicante City for June with friends I worked with but think that's gone now] . I think if you can talk to people in the country you visit in some small way it shows them some form of respect . The sentence I quote is not particularly useful but it has come out on the course ............. My Parrot drinks milk but does not drink water!

I've learned how innovative menus from all the old food stored at the back of my food cupboard to avoid having to go to the supermarket!

I've learned how innovative menus

I did the same with old bottles of spirits and liquors I bought with the few coins I had left when going through Duty Free . It was quite surprising what I found stuff they probably don't make , stuff that has been "maturing for years" , stuff when I found it made me think how many free samples of the drinks in Duty Free did I drink that induced me to buy that .

I erred on the side of caution and have resisted sampling them because I have never really been keen on drinking in the house though I did have a couple of drinks with some of my holiday pals via Video link the other Friday but stuck to the well known stuff I have, so the really strange stuff remains in situ and probably will do so until its next birthday and beyond! :)

Wait just a minute!! Tidying your rubbish is a very noble chore. To tackle piles of stuff and finally determine what stuff needs to be tossed, kept, or given away is a type of cleansing. It is a real release to finally dismantle a pile and to send things you no longer need or want out the door. And I always err on the side of stuff that could possibly be useful to someone else and give these items to organizations that will even come and get the stuff you no longer want. :35:

It was rubble from a new extension

It's really good to see so many people doing practical things and making such good use of their time!

I think it's so important to come out the other end of this having achieved something!
