I have just done a questionnaire about my recent dentist visit. I was somewhat dismayed that if I paid for my treatment ( which I don't because of my age) it would have cost me £6-50 more than in Wales and a similar amount more than Scotland or Northern Ireland. I thought NHS was equal in the UK but it would appear that England is subsidising the rest ?I realise this is verging on the political but I felt it needed saying!

I agree Dick, depending on where you live in the UK depends what you pay,I believe that Scotland all prescription no matter what age you are, are free

A famous NE Comedian Bobby Thompson [the Little Waster] went to the Dentist to be told he needed ten teeth taking out. When asked how much it would be the Dentist told him £100. " A hundred poond fa ten teeth em not payin that , here's a fiver slacken them!"
