So we're off, 2 weeks of mind numbing sport. The only good bits will be when countries get their knickers in a twist when there raise the wrong flag!
Well I know what I'm doing for the next 2 weeks, if the DVD player is not on the Kindle will be. I have just downloaded some free books from Amazon so I'm set.

What will you be doing?

What will you be doing?

Watching some bits of the games snugly from home, far away from it all ;). The weather has changed again from summer heat to cooler and wet since a few thunderstorms last night, otherwise I´d be in the garden or on my balcony.

I stayed up to watch the opening ceremony, I was bored after 15 minutes, but thought, 'it can only get better!' I didn't. I was impressed with the lighting of the flame though, that was very clever.

I shall keep an eye on key moments via web, but still finalising a re-ordering of the house in between other duties.

Not a big sports fan but I like to be aware of what is happening ...

I've watched some of todays tennis. I really enjoyed the opening ceremony, except the mobile phone stuff. That seemed a bit pointless. Having said that all those Mary Poppins would give anyone nightmares! Like one commentator said, the making of the rings in the fiery furnaces was quite Wagnerian.
I was pleased the Beatles were mentioned in dispatches, as it were.

I also enjoyed it as well.Wish it had started a bit earlier'Went to watch the Mens road race today it was a shame that the british team did so poorly after such high expetations but it was a nice day out.Got swimming tkts for Mon night so that will be fun.

Really really loved the men's road race. Vino has always
been one of my favorite riders. Glad to see him win
the gold before retiring.

We enjoyed the road race and thanked goodness for a modern TV which enabled us to watch it all.

Just about to leave to go to the olympic park will spend day in london then go to the olympic park in the afternoon before my event at 7.30 pm live on BBC 1.Then can have fun trying to get a train home.If the tv cameras pan on me i will give you all a royal wave. :)

Oh no its all coming to an end what is there going to be to watch now.Went to Mens marathon this morning(cos it was a free event) so now we have more mind numbing soaps so might have to get out some dvds or invest in a Kindle.Hey WAIT
In two weeks the paralympics start,Yippee more sport on the box.Might have to hold the Kindle.I know a lot of people think it was a waste of money but it has made a lot of people happy so i do not see a problem in that.Congratulations to Team GB on thier acheivment and making London 2012 the greatest Olympics ever.

I may be a nay Sayer when it comes to sport but I do congratulate all those who won.
But I really am looking forward to watching the news without it being dominated by sport. I also hate soaps but at least there not on 24 7. ;)

Fair enough.Seems like soaps are on all week. With the omnibus editions at th weekends. :)Get rid of them all :) :)

Well each to his or her own, I enjoy some of the soaps although I actually only watch two of them. And they have got to be better than all of these reality shows we get. We accidentally watched Big Brother one evening. What rubbish. Do you watch these?

Big Brother is also a complete waste of space along with anybody appears on it.
