Our beloved Compo would have been 102 today. what a great character. RIP Bill.

It's great that his work is still being shown , not only LOTSW but excerpts , from his role as the Sergeant in the first Carry on, were shown in a repeat of Carry on Forever on ITV the other night , plus he has been shown as Thelma's dad in Whatever Happened to the Likely Lads .
