Peter Firmin RIP

Sad to report that the great animator Peter Firmin has sadly passed away. Peter who ? I am sure some members will say but if I said he is responsible for producing some of the best children's shows ever The Clangers, Bagpuss, Ivor of the Engine,Pogles Wood ,I would dearly hope it jogged the Member's childhood memories enough to remember not only happy times but also this great innovator who, along with Oliver Postage, brought children and I dare say adults such joy. A sad loss.

Before my time and wrong country..

but reading an obituary on him, isnt it sad how complicated the world has become... How simple things used to be, and how entertaining they were. Wouldnt get a look in today with young kids and electronics.

A bit late adding my thoughts but agree a sad loss. I seem to recall that Ivor the engine predated Tank engine Thomas on TV and also such a wide range of decent stuff ...
