Place names

Many of the characters often quote places in the series which are close to Holmfirth, ie Halifax, Huddersfield etc. But I cannot recall any characters actually quoting Holmfirth where they all live. I find this quite strange, unless anyone can recall an episode where Holmfirth is named?

Off hand I cannot recall any characters mentioning Holmfirth but the local paper was often being read in the reading room at the library !

The words Holmfirth are seen on the signage of the Co-Op where Marina works in a few episodes too, but I'm amazed no one has uttered the words of their hometown! It may be deliberate if 'Summerwineland' was supposed to be a fictional town or perhaps they just didn't want Holmfirth deluged with more visitors....

I don't think it was ever mentioned but it was seen a few times on buses and signs. We also see it on Compo's passport when Ivy was looking at his photo.
