A quick digression some friends and I had been out on a summers day had a few beers in the pub and a few more cans playing bowls, anyway one of my friends got "caught short" , the club and park toilets were out of order so he sneaked , or so he thought, unseen into the undergrowth in desperation . Sadly what was then a traffic warden spotted him and reported him to the young local bobby on the beat who subsequently threatened my friend with arrest for urinating in a public place and was going to throw an indecency charge .
My friend was asked for his address which the young bobby radio'd in . He gave him 23 Railway Cuttings ,East Cheam [my friend has a southern accent so it was plausible] there was a bit of a pause then sadly for him the Sergeant on the other end of the Radio was huge Tony Hancock fan and spotted it straightway . He did see the funny side and because of my friend's inventiveness he told the young Bobby just to warn him and don't let him catch you doing that again .
