Roy Clarke - A Dick Emery Fan?

This seems a strange question, but, I wonder if Roy Clark was a Dick Emery fan. When Eli walks away from a scene he catches his right foot behind his left and stumbles. Recent screenings of early Dick Emery shows have Dick Emery dressed as Mandy (You are awful...But I like you) pushes the interviewer and as she walks away uses the same comedic stumble, or am I overthinking things.

I thought Norman Wisdom does a similar thing?

Yup, as Jonathan Linsley alluded to in his talk Music Hall performers like Danny or Joe (Gladwin) used every inch of their body to enhance and telegraph a bit of funny business. Mr Clarke's had the odd bit of drag in his shows tho such as Barry and Smiler looking infinitely less glamorous than Mandy and Eric in SOAH.

I do that occasionally but it is not for comic effect.
