And so the end of another series of LOTSW. This was the last from Sydney Lotterby, who churned out four very successful series of the show. His work on the show is often underrated as Alan JW Bell has such a good name, yet his results were just as good IMO.

This episode is the one with Yorkshire's biggest bicycle pile-up.

This was an excellent episode, perhaps the best of series 7 and one I could watch over and over.

The cycling club was the Huddersfield Wheelers and many of those riders in the pile up will now be retired themselves and might be doing what the lads did.Compo certainly could swing that rattle .the twigs sticking out of his hat added to his disguise.

and what a disguise it was!!

Compo had a thing for loud objects, also the siren in The Glory Hole...

..And suits look at the one in gough and jessie which he borrowed from eli.

Anyway this is a very good episode with foggy dressed as a hedge is a classic
scene and knocking the cycle club off their bikes and then bumping into them again
in the cafe. One of the best in the series for me.

The couple driving off with Compo's trousers attached to their car was good too.Was this the episode where Compo ended up with Wally's trousers?
