Recently I mentioned this 1984 film on another topic. It starred Ian Holm, Penelope Wilton and Bill Owen. It's about a farmer walking 500 geese from Norfolk to London to market. Screenplay by Brian Glover.
As I hadn't seen it for 20 years or more, I decided to get it on DVD for £4.
As I remembered, an excellent film. It's likened to an Ealing Comedy. It isn't, only Ealing comedies are. But it's a very good film, very watchable and Bill Owen is hilarious in a part tailor-made for him.
I recommend this film to those who haven't seen it.
