So sad Pikey , last man on duty with the Platoon , passes away

Just been announced that Ian Lavender , Private Pike , from one of the greatest Comedy shows ever has sadly passed way . He went on to play in Eastenders and other shows but he will be forever " You stupid Boy " . He survived being " on the list" of the German Captain but sadly another national treasure has been on his last parade . A very very sad day.

And he played the very nervous home security man who came to measure up for a security alarm when Richard forget their wedding anniversary in another one of " our Roy's" genius programmes..."keeping up appearances" !!!!....remember...she made him take his shoes off...and he ran to his car with just his socks on because he was so stressed !!!

Sad news indeed. He had some great bits in Dads Army. I particularly liked the episode where he had a girlfriend who was very softly spoken, My British Buddy.
